Welcome to Flying B Ranches

Flying B Ranches is made up of two ranches under the same ownership in Texas; the Chaparrosa Ranch, located in the brush country of Zavala County, and Rancho del Cielo, located on the northern edge of the Davis Mountains in Jeff Davis County. Each ranch is very unique in its locations, operations, and resources and each brings a great deal of management knowledge, many years of experience, and skillsets to enrich the other.

Flying B Ranches expands across rugged landscapes in two very different ecoregions of Texas. Each offers a vast amount of bio-diversity, and is home to many species of native and non-native game, such that they offer hunters and eco-tourists two unique destinations in South Texas & Far West Texas that are ideal adventures for any outdoorsmen.

Both ranches are on the cutting edge of the cattle industry, producing top quality beef animals—both commercial and purebred—utilizing modern technologies of Artificial Insemination, Embryo Transfer, DNA Testing, and research while still implementing traditional ranching values of cattle handling and horsemanship. Horses with the Flying B Brand are raised on the Chaparrosa Ranch, and are actively used on both ranches. When seen both in the pasture and arena, they reflect outstanding genetics, as well as the experience and training of well used ranch horses that get the job done.
